How it works

Self-healing technology

SunTek PPF uses an elastomeric polymer top coat that has memory — when the film is scratched or swirled, gentle heat (from the sun or warm water) causes the film to flow back to its original smooth state. The film absorbs the impact so your paint doesn't have to.

Film is cut to pattern

Using precision computer-cut templates matched to your exact vehicle model, every panel is cut to fit perfectly — no guesswork, no trimming on the car.

Surface is decontaminated

Your paintwork is thoroughly cleaned, clayed, and decontaminated. Any existing contamination is removed before the film touches the surface.

Film is applied wet

The film is applied using a slip solution, allowing precise positioning before the adhesive bonds. Edges are wrapped around panels for a seamless finish.

Film bonds and cures

The adhesive cures over 24–48 hours. During this time the film settles, any installation moisture dissipates, and the film becomes optically clear.

Will PPF be visible on my car?+

When professionally installed, clear PPF is virtually invisible. You may notice very subtle edges on close inspection, but from normal viewing distance the film is undetectable. Gloss PPF can actually enhance the depth of your paint.

How long does PPF last?+

SunTek PPF is designed to last 5–10 years with proper care. The film will not yellow, crack, or peel under normal conditions. We recommend a maintenance wash every few months to keep the film performing at its best.

Can PPF be removed?+

Yes. PPF can be professionally removed without damaging the paint beneath, provided the paint was in good condition at the time of installation. We do not recommend DIY removal.

Does my car need to be new to have PPF applied?+

No — PPF can be applied to any age of vehicle. However, if the paintwork has existing chips, scratches, or swirl marks, these will be visible under the film. We may recommend paint correction before installation.

Can PPF be applied over a wrap or ceramic coating?+
